Does Jesus Hate Religion? Kinda, Sorta, Not Really – Kevin DeYoung
I almost linked the video directly, then figured I didn’t want someone to simply watch this and move on so here’s the link instead. I saw it a couple days ago and realized I’d only be hateful and dismissive in a response. How about reclaiming the Christian “religion” which gives us our history and an incredible amount of wisdom from far greater minds than our own? I appreciate so much of my religious history and its impact on my faith and think that a video like this only encourages those who foolishly claim they can follow Christ “on their own” without a religion or even their church. As DeYoung, I appreciate his passion, but it definitely comes off as misguided to me.
